Research and Teaching Assistantships
Assistantships come with a stipend, an out of state tuition waiver, and student medical insurance.
Research Assistants: Many University of Arizona faculty have research grants and will hire Master's students with particular skills (usually programming skills) to assist with research projects. Additional positions are available through campus units such as the Libraries and the THINK TANK.
Teaching Assistants: Teaching assistantships are occasionally available for Master's students.
If you are interested in assistantships, you should wait until you are in the program as most faculty want to know students before hiring them as a teaching or research assistant.
